American hand held cast brass Yachtsman's spearing trumpet with bell shaped mouthpiece, coned-shaped column with fine detailed beaded bandings, attached rings for straps, and terminating on a molded edge opening, Mid-19th century. Trumpet was used to amplify communication between passing vessels.
